Joint Replacement Education
By deciding to undergo total joint replacement surgery, you have made a positive investment in yourself that will get you back to the things you love to do. We at Brandywine Hospital would be honored to guide you on your path to recovery.
Once you have coordinated with your surgeon’s office to schedule a date for the operation, it is time to start getting ready. There are many things to do to prepare yourself for the big day.
Research shows that by participating in pre-operative total joint education, you will feel better prepared for your recovery and better able to manage your post-operative pain.
At Brandywine Hospital, we offer twice monthly group classes on the first and third Wednesday of each month for our live education. Classes are held from 10 to 11 a.m. and a light snack will be provided. These classes are a great way to meet other patients preparing for the same procedure as well as ask and listen to questions.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, all live classes have been moved to a virtual format. For COVID-19 updates, check out our COVID-19 Public Information Center.
Please take the time to view the Pre-Operative Joint Education Presentation.
You will receive a call from our Total Joint Coordinator prior to surgery to answer any questions you may have. If you have any questions regarding your future surgery or about total joint replacements at Brandywine Hospital, please call:
