Behavioral Health

Experiencing a mental health crisis, either personally or alongside someone you love, can be a time of uncertainty and heightened stress levels. You are not alone in this journey and need the support of a caring and compassionate team with specialized expertise.

Brandywine Behavioral Health (BBH) embodies the conviction that recovery is possible for every person dealing with a psychiatric diagnosis. BBH has successfully treated thousands of people at our sprawling campus in beautiful Chester County. In fact, we believe identifying one’s strengths is crucial to his or her recovery and future. It is from this principle that our mission was born: to provide programming that is strength-based, trauma informed and recovery focused. Our 64-bed, acute care inpatient facility provides three distinct programs:

We are ready to diagnose and treat:

  • Anxiety
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Depression
  • Eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorders
  • Impulsive behaviors
  • Mood or thought disturbances
  • Panic
  • Suicidal thoughts

One in five adults in America experience a mental illness, with nearly one in 25 (or 10 million people) experiencing a mental illness that is classified as serious.
