Brandywine Hospital to Celebrate National EMS Week by Hosting Barbeque for EMS Professionals on May 22

Brandywine Hospital will celebrate National EMS Week, May 20 to 26, 2018, by inviting emergency medical services (EMS) professionals to a barbeque in their honor on Tuesday, May 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the helicopter hangar at Brandywine Hospital.

Brandywine Hospital is pleased to host the barbeque to recognize EMS professionals for the important role they play in saving lives and for their dedication and commitment to partnering with receiving hospitals.

EMS professionals save lives by responding to medical emergencies such as heart attacks, strokes, falls, drownings, accidents and drug overdoses. They provide skilled, compassionate care at the scene as well as en route to the hospital.

This year is the 44th annual National EMS Week. EMS professionals are encouraged to bring their favorite apparatus to the barbeque, and a special gift will be given to those who attend. EMS professionals who have questions about the barbeque are encouraged to call 610-383-8768.
