The program has a total of 32 positions with approximately 8 residents per training year. Our program offers experiences in inpatient, outpatient, consultation-liaison, geriatric, community, substance abuse, and child and adolescent psychiatry in a range of clinical settings throughout the Philadelphia area. Our didactic curriculum and supervisory experience emphasize a thorough and well-rounded approach to psychiatry with substantial devotion to learning psychotherapy. Our program is also committed to enhancing residents' experience in training by offering scholarly and research opportunities. Providing the best educational and training experience is the highest departmental priority. We expect, upon completion of the program, residents to be competent in the ACGME defined core areas of patient care, medical knowledge, interpersonal and communication skills, practice-based learning and improvement, professionalism, and systems-based practice.
